      amiga demoscene archive
      Author: z5   Date Verified:
On this site, you will find some of the best demos and intros ever released on the fabulous Amiga computer. All the demos listed here, are of high quality. So why did we make this site? Watching demos over the years, has given us so much joy and fantastic moments that we thought it was time to do something in return. In fact, this is our tribute to every scene artist: coders, graphicians, musicians.... All those people who ever contributed to the wonderful productions listed here. You are all true artists. If, in the future, you don't have the hardware to run these demos anymore, you will still be able to relive those moments by visiting this site. We're planning regular updates, adding reviews, screenshots, ratings and more productions. Basically, we're trying to build the ultimate amiga demoscene archive. Enjoy!

What is all this about? This site is dedicated to the Amiga demo scene. The Amiga is a personal computer that debuted in the late 80's as the first true multimedia platform available to the average consumer. The Amiga inspired many with it's rich sound and elegant graphics capabilities. An Amiga demo is the best testiment to the Amiga's power, providing a combination of graphics, sound, and complex code. To many, the demo is the ultimate form of artistic expression and the mission of AMiGASCNE WORLDWiDE is to bring together all available Amiga demo scene related productions and information to anyone interested in taking part or just experiencing this truly amazing art form.

We have released quite a lot of music made with Protracker, one of the most important music programs ever made for any computer. Instead of just releasing our tunes as Protracker modules (MODs), we've built small (more or less serious) multimedia presentations (intros and demos) based on them. These techno related productions run on Amiga computers and Amiga emulators like UAE. If you have an Amiga, it is recommended to check out the intros and demos too. These productions have been divided in several series. Here is a search engine for our productions. Choose the serie name you want to get more information about and the sorting criteria. You'll get a list of all released productions by searching using the defaults (Any/Name). You can also find our productions from our bulletin board systems around the world.

Hacked Amiga Music (HAM) introduced the ripping scene to Open Ripping the 26/10-98, and shut down after 65 100% fresh and Hard2Rip releases the 28/8-99. I'm very satisfied with the result of HAM. My goal was a site, where my rips were released right away, and where the ripping techniques were open! It seamed that other than myself liked the ideology, so within short time was HAM the fastest ripper site.

      Loonies
      Author: Psycho   Date Verified:
Introduction. Loonies is a Amiga demogroup founded in June 95 by Psycho, Tiny and Tarmslyng. In all Loonies productions the overall design is quite important, and we prefer not to make too traditional boring standard productions. Normally we have some theme or other overall idea going through the demo, and we try not to violate this by some routine or picture not fitting the overall design. A production by Loonies can be marked as a Livitas Production. Livitas means crazy, weird, absurd, insane, and a Livitas Production is therefore somewhat absurd and weird etc, and should not be taken too serious..

What is MS? The mekka & symposium is a demo-scene party that was organized annually at Easter. More than 1200 young Multimedia artists gathered here for four days in order to meet similarly-minded people, to exchange ideas and to participate in the competitions, in which individuals and groups show off their talents in a certain form of electronic art called Demos. ms2002 has been the eighth and last event in a traditional party series that started back in 1995, when 300 mostly German visitors attended the BlackBox Symposium. To our 2002 event, about 1220 visitors came from all over Europe, and beyond -- "sceners" have come to celebrate with us from countries as remote as Estonia and Israel!

      Author: Dire   Date Verified:
What is SCENET? SCENET was created roughly four years ago by the hungarian Amiga demoscener Lord of Absolute, Impulse & Crimson Jihad. Lord was concentrating on email addies and first merged two old lists from Igo of TBL which was published at the "RAW Online" homepage and another from Cesium, who was a norwegian Amiga Scener from the group Session. SCENET aims to be a kind of gateway for all kind of Sceners or those people who are interested into the Scene. It wants to give you the possibility to find good old contacts/friends you`ve possibly lost during your time of inactivity. It can be also a gateway to enter the Scene for newcomers or just a way to inform yourself about it. If you`re searching for scenerelated email addies, personal or group related homepages, telnet ip`s from boards, good newsgroups, active irc channels etc. etc. etc., then SCENET will fulfill your needs!!!

      The Spooky Fellows
      Author: maxime   Date Verified:
Many of you traditional visitors of this site, might have been wondering what's happened to this page, which until some months ago was, for most of the Amiga sceners, the one to visit to give a brief look at the latest The Charts issue, and to find the latest Ram Jam's news and releases. The answer is simple: THE CHARTS, the chart-mag we worked on since early spring 1993 has reached its glorious end after 16 issues. Initially born like an alternative to the famous Official Eurocharts, we just managed through about a dozen of issues, to make of The Charts a guide for all the scene population. But in the days of last October, we decided to close this successful experience of ours, and the costant loss of enthusiasm and motivations have to be considered the main reasons of our quit. After having released sixteen issues in approximately 24 months, we felt ourselves tired, and not motivated anymore to go on with all the hard work each TC new issue was needed.
